DJ L-Boogie, Texas born and raised began his DJ journey back in the late 80’s.  As a DJ in high school he gained a reputation for always having the latest hip-hop and creating the best mix tapes.  After the release of the famous “Blame It On The Boogie” mix tape, he was solidified as one of the best DJ’s in town.

DJ L-Boogie attended college in Texas, where he met and began learning the true tricks of the trade from the one and only DJ Premier (DJ/Producer of the Rap Group Gang Star). After graduating with a degree in Electrical Engineering, DJ L-Boogie dropped out of the DJ scene in order to focus on a career in the world of technology. It was not long after that when the itch to start back DJ’ing again started to kick in. After a 7-year hiatus, L-Boogie returned to the game and began doing parties, weddings, and clubs all over the state of Texas.

After a few years of putting in work in the local club scene, L-Boogie decided to go out on his own and started Category 5 Productions. His mobile DJ and entertainment company has done events for major corporations and some of Houston’s most elite clientele. DJ L-Boogie is now considered THE PREMIER DJ in the greater Houston area, and the top choice of the major Event Planning companies in town.  DJ L-Boogie joined the “Faculty DJ’s” of Houston Texas in 2010 and began spinning on the weekly mix shows on one of Houston’s online radio stations. DJ L-Boogie is an Official Drama Squad DJ and currently does a host of events and mixes on several online radio stations worldwide.
