DJ MoPhatt

DJ Mo Phatt (DJ Mo, or The Heat Miser as his fans, fellow DJ’s and critics call him sometimes), is a prominent American Hip-Hop producer and DJ. Having been in the music industry since his middle school years, DJ Mo Phatt then known as “P-Nut” by his neighborhood crew made mixtapes (actual cassette tapes) titled “P-Nut’s Picks”. P-Nut’s Picks was a collaboration of songs that may not be receiving radio play on the mainstream radio stations or just picks of his favorite artists/songs.

DJ Mo Phatt’s unique ability to mix together songs with cassette players and many times opening the cassette case to splice songs and sounds together made “P-Nut’s Picks” extraordinary. It was his time serving his country in the United States Army and having rocked parties and clubs worldwide in Germany, Iraq and Kuwait to name a few, which sparked the fire for DJ Mo Phatt to greatness.

Over the years DJ Mo Phatt has DJ’d many events directly for United States Army, NFL, NBA and WNBA. As well as concerts of Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, Paul Wall, Slim Thug, Lil Keke, Ice Cube and LL Cool J, just to name a few. Currently DJ Mo Phatt is the host of hit R&B show The Definition of Soul on KPVU-91.3 FM, where he “feeds the soul” of the R&B lover during their mid-day lunch grind. In addition to hosting The Definition of Soul, he is the station’s Production Director.
